My name is Joanne Peterson and I am a Registered Psychologist. I have a B.A. in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology. My areas of interest include working with couples and individual adults in the areas of stress management, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship issues, communication, trauma, domestic violence, and life transitions.

Therapeutic approaches I draw from include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Relational Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Existential Therapy, and Positive Psychology. When working with couples, I draw from the therapeutic approaches of Gottman Couples Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, and Emotion Focused Therapy.

As a counsellor, my mission is to provide a caring, safe, and welcoming environment where clients are encouraged to explore past and present life challenges. I stand for equality, diversity, and empowerment. I value being present with my clients and believe the greatest strengths that I offer are my genuineness, insightfulness, and compassion. In my spare time I enjoy connecting with my family and friends, taking walks in nature, and being around animals of all sizes and shapes.

My name is Shareen Price and I am a Registered Psychologist. My academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Lethbridge and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. My goal as a counsellor is to create a warm and supportive environment to invite clients to explore difficulties, identify possibilities, and create opportunities for growth.

My areas of clinical interest include addressing trauma, anger and emotional regulation, family and sexual violence, attachment issues, life transitions, mental health issues (anxiety, depression, phobias, etc.), and identity issues. I have a particular interest in serving those who work in healthcare address burnout, compassion fatigue, and the perpetual moral injury incurred on the job.

Overall, I would say my approach could be best described as strengths-based, person-centered, and trauma informed. I integrate strategies from Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solutions Focused Therapy (SFT), systems theories, and motivational interviewing to help clients clarify issues and move towards positive change.

I work primarily with adults but also enjoy working with adolescents.

My name is Carly and I am a Registered Psychologist and one of the owners of Lethbridge Counselling Services. I am passionate about my work and aim to create a safe and collaborative therapeutic environment with my clients. I like to meet my clients where they are at, and challenge and support them to achieve their goals.

I have a B.A. in Psychology and a M.Ed. in Counselling Psychology and have worked in the mental health field since 2005. I have worked in post-secondary for 13 years and in private practice for 10 years.

My areas of interest and specialized training include (for adults and youth): trauma, ADHD, post-secondary concerns, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), trichotillomania, excoriation (skin picking), body dysmorphic disorder, emotional regulation, anxiety, depression, identity, and life transitions. I also work with couples and am trained in Gottman (Level 1 certification).

I have facilitated numerous groups on topics such as domestic violence, disordered eating, OCD, general support, and DBT skills. I also can train individuals in Mental Health First Aid (virtual/in person).

The main approaches I draw from in my practice are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, body-centered therapies, EMDR, Mindfulness, relational-based and psychodynamic based approaches.

I also have a special interest in supervising masters level interns and provisional psychologists. I have many years of experience in supervising students at the University of Lethbridge.

Hello, I am Eva, and am a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists. I am currently taking new clients and offer afternoon and evening appointments, Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, and afternoons Fridays using a sliding fee scale based on need.

I strive to help clients find this space through slowing down, being curious, and exploring their inner self. I use multiple counselling styles which are grounded in solution-focused, trauma-informed, strength-based and attachment perspectives and have a very relational style of interaction. I enjoy working with couples, families, and individuals ages 12+ and have training in Attachment-focused EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), recovering from sexual assault, the neurobiology of trauma, couple and family therapy, mindfulness strategies, learning and memory.
