My name is Carly and I am a Registered Psychologist and one of the owners of Lethbridge Counselling Services. I am passionate about my work and aim to create a safe and collaborative therapeutic environment with my clients. I like to meet my clients where they are at, and challenge and support them to achieve their goals.

I have a B.A. in Psychology and a M.Ed. in Counselling Psychology and have worked in the mental health field since 2005. I have worked in post-secondary for 13 years and in private practice for 10 years.

My areas of interest and specialized training include (for adults and youth): trauma, ADHD, post-secondary concerns, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), trichotillomania, excoriation (skin picking), body dysmorphic disorder, emotional regulation, anxiety, depression, identity, and life transitions. I also work with couples and am trained in Gottman (Level 1 certification).

I have facilitated numerous groups on topics such as domestic violence, disordered eating, OCD, general support, and DBT skills. I also can train individuals in Mental Health First Aid (virtual/in person).

The main approaches I draw from in my practice are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, body-centered therapies, EMDR, Mindfulness, relational-based and psychodynamic based approaches.

I also have a special interest in supervising masters level interns and provisional psychologists. I have many years of experience in supervising students at the University of Lethbridge.

In my spare time you can find me at a fitness class, hanging out with my family, and reading. I also love winter and anything that goes along with it!

I work Monday-Friday days/afternoons.
